Child sponsorship is all about making a long term difference in the life of a child. Through an education you are empowering a child to make a better life for themselves and their community with an opportunity to rise above poverty.

Specifically, a sponsorship provides financial assistance for the health, education and general welfare of orphaned and disadvantaged children. Through child sponsorship you are providing children with an opportunity for a quality education, daily meals, clothing, and medical care. Without sponsorship they would not have access this opportunity.

Your child will attend a Catholic school, run by the local religious, indigenous men and women who understand the particular needs related to the child.

The cost for sponsorship depends upon the type of program you select:

Day School Program

This program provides day school education at the primary level for $1.20 a day ($36 a month). Children who have a home to return to each day are well suited for this program. Your sponsored child receives all that is needed for a quality Catholic education including:

Nurturing guidance from sisters, brothers, priests and lay associates
Two meals per day
School uniform
Books and educational supplies
Basic medical support
Clean drinking water
Counseling and religious instruction
Special tutoring

Boarding School Program

This program provides primary school education, including full room and board in secure, supervised, Catholic all-girl and all-boy facilities. Children served in this program, many of whom are orphans, receive 24/7 care. The school becomes their home – a place where they feel safe and loved. For about $2.40 to $4.00 a day ($72 to $120 a month) your sponsored child will receive:
